Do you have difficulty keeping track of your movies? Track your movies and manage your watchlists as a personal film journal.
I've seen people jot down their movie lists in notes and other places, making it really tough to keep track of them. I kept track of them in notes, and it became unmanageable. I needed an app that wasn't a social network and had no distractions, like a film journal.
Film Buff was developed using Xcode and the latest Apple technologies, including Swift, SwiftUI, MVVM, Combine Framework, Core Data, WidgetKit, StoreKit, and SF Symbols. Additionally, it's accessible through VoiceOver and Dynamic Type.
Before development, I designed the user experience to be simple and easy to use. During development, I performed usability and performance testing on all devices for an offline experience where interfaces worked smoothly and data was logged efficiently.
Despite being in a niche category, Film Buff had over a thousand users in its first week. It was mentioned in local news apps, articles, and other places. I noted feedback throughout the process to ensure a better user experience following the launch.
We make iPhone film journaling enjoyable.
Film Buff lets you add movies to your watchlists, sort them, search for them, add them to your favorites, and write notes as a critique or as a simple review. With its simple interface, Film Buff makes it easy to keep track of films and manage watchlists.
Genres are split into entertaining and intriguing genres on the main screen, where you can also explore the main watchlists at the top!
Add films to your watchlist or add ones you've already seen! Enter the title, release year, rating, and genre for your films, and it will automatically filter the watchlist films according to their genres if you want to browse them separately.
With the ability to sort films by title, release year, and rating, it is simple to keep track of all your movies. With this feature, you can easily pick the perfect movie to watch, whether it's an old classic or a new favorite!
Keep track of the films you've already seen.
With Film Buff, you can easily find and revisit movies that you want to see again, as well as those you haven't seen yet. This way, you can keep track of all your films, track your movie-watching journey, and build an archive of memories!
On the details screen, you can write a review or a note, favorite a film, or mark it as watched. This is a great way to not only remember which movies you have seen but also to reflect on the ones you liked and disliked, giving you an opportunity to express yourself.

Film Buff allows you to get the best of both worlds: you can use the randomize icon to get a surprise watchlist movie suggestion right away, or add our widget and get an updated suggestion every hour.
Search through previously added films.
